Gaza Truce Postponed at 11,15: Hostage List Problems and Israeli Raids

The ceasefire between Israel and Hamas has been postponed due to logistical problems in the delivery of the hostage list. Israeli raids on Gaza continue

Breaking news: The truce took effect at 11.15 a.m. local time (10.15 a.m. in Italy)

The truce between Israel and Hamas, scheduled for 8:30 a.m. local time today, has been postponed due to delays in the delivery of the hostage list by Hamas. This list was essential for the start of the ceasefire.

These are the names of the three female hostages who will free Hamas

Hamas reported that the three women to be freed were Romi Gonen, Emily Damari and Doron Steinbrecher. Romi Gonen had been kidnapped during the Nova rave, while Emily Damari, a British citizen, and Doron Steinbrecher had been abducted from their homes in the Kfar Aza kibbutz. Israel received the list through mediators, but did not provide further details on the names.

Netanyahu’s Statements and Israeli Attacks

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that the ceasefire will not begin until Hamas fulfils its agreements. Meanwhile, the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) continued operations in the Gaza Strip, striking Hamas targets with drones and artillery, leaving 10 dead and 25 wounded according to Palestinian sources.

Recovery of the Body of an Israeli Soldier

Overnight, Israeli forces recovered the body of soldier Oron Shaul, who was killed in 2014 during combat in Gaza. Netanyahu said that the operation, carried out in cooperation with the Shin Bet, allowed the remains to be recognised by the Forensic Medicine Institute.
