Italian premier meets Algerian president Tebboune to discuss regional stability and Gaza humanitarian situation
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni expressed serious concern over the escalation of military tensions in Lebanon and the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza following a bilateral meeting with Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
“With President Tebboune, we shared our concern for the military escalation in Lebanon, which must end immediately, and for the situation in Gaza, which remains extremely difficult for the civilian population, especially from a humanitarian perspective,” Meloni said.
The premier emphasized the importance of continued international efforts to stabilize the region and achieve a lasting solution.
