Prince Andrew palace spies fuel concern inside the royal family

According to reports, Prince Andrew relies on his daughters to stay informed about palace affairs, alarming Kate Middleton and raising fears within the monarchy

Concerns are reportedly growing inside the British royal family over what sources describe as Prince Andrew palace spies, a situation said to be causing mounting tension behind the scenes at Buckingham Palace.

According to sources quoted by Closer magazine, Prince Andrew is believed to rely heavily on his daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, to remain informed and indirectly involved in royal life. The perception within the palace, the sources say, is that the sisters act as Andrew’s “eyes and ears,” intentionally or not, contributing to unease and mistrust among senior royals. The issue of Prince Andrew palace spies has become particularly sensitive following his departure from the royal residence he occupied for 22 years.

Kate Middleton is reportedly among those most troubled by the situation. While maintaining a calm public image, sources describe the Princess of Wales as deeply angry in private. She is said to be determined to prevent Prince Andrew from exerting any influence “in the background” during royal decision-making. The alleged presence of Prince Andrew palace spies is viewed as a direct threat to efforts to stabilize the monarchy after years of damaging scandals.

“Kate has worked tirelessly to rebuild trust in the institution,” a source told Closer. “Seeing Andrew attempting to reinsert himself, even indirectly, feels like a slap in the face.” According to the same source, Kate believes little has changed in Andrew’s attitude since the Epstein scandal, pointing to what she sees as the same sense of entitlement.

King Charles is also said to be concerned, particularly by reports that Prince Andrew and his former wife Sarah Ferguson have both expressed a desire to re-enter public life. Sources claim the King fears renewed embarrassment for the monarchy, especially amid talk that Andrew may be seeking a new romantic relationship. The prospect of Prince Andrew palace spies operating during this period only heightens those concerns.

The situation is reportedly straining Prince William’s patience as well. While described as measured and restrained, William had expected his uncle to withdraw quietly from public attention. Instead, ongoing tensions and unresolved issues continue to hover over the family as they attempt to plan for the future.

As for Sarah Ferguson, a source quoted by Closer claims the Duchess believes she still has the appeal to re-establish herself socially. According to the source, she sees no reason not to “put herself back out there” and potentially find a wealthy partner, convinced she has not lost the charm that once attracted influential figures.
