He faces trial for sexual assault, strangulation and threats. The preliminary hearing is set for 27 August

Paul Gallagher, older brother of famous Oasis members Noel and Liam Gallagher, has been accused of rape by the London Metropolitan Police. According to the authorities, the 59-year-old man will face numerous charges, including coercive and manipulative behaviour, sexual assault, intentional strangulation, death threats and bodily harm.

The alleged offences all relate to a single woman and are said to have taken place between 2022 and 2024. The police have clarified that Gallagher was never part of the band Oasis, but the news quickly spread across the United Kingdom due to his family connection to two of the most iconic figures in Britpop.

The preliminary hearing is set for 27 August at Westminster Magistrates’ Court in London. No further details about the victim or the specific circumstances of the allegations have been released at this time, in accordance with privacy and the preliminary investigation.
