Houthi attack on US aircraft carrier in the Red Sea in response to raids on Yemen

Houthi militias have claimed an attack on the US aircraft carrier Harry S. Truman in the Red Sea in response to US air raids on Yemen

Yemeni Houthi militias claimed to have targeted the US aircraft carrier Harry S. Truman in the Red Sea. According to reports on al-Jazeera satellite television, the attack was carried out in retaliation for the US-led air raids on Yemen the previous day.

Missiles and drones against the aircraft carrier

A Houthi spokesman specified that the operation was carried out using a large arsenal of weapons: ‘18 ballistic and cruise missiles’ were fired at the aircraft carrier, along with the use of a drone to hit the target. The Houthi militias have made it known that this action is part of their strategy of resistance against US forces and their raids against Yemeni territory.

US response expected

At the moment, there is still no official response from the US authorities regarding the attack on the aircraft carrier Harry S. Truman, but developments are expected.
