After last night’s serious attack in Bogotá on Miguel Uribe Turbay, Colombia’s right-wing senator and presidential candidate for the 2026 elections, who was seriously wounded in the Modelia neighbourhood, the 39-year-old politician is currently in “maximum seriousness” condition, according to the latest medical bulletin released by the Santa Fe Foundation, where he is being treated.
According to hospital reports, Uribe Turbay underwent neurosurgery and an operation on his left thigh. After the operations, he was transferred to intensive care for post-operative monitoring and stabilisation.
