WhatsApp introduces threads: a new feature to better manage conversations
WhatsApp experiments with a feature that simplifies chat management, with the introduction of threads, already being tested in the beta version for Android
WhatsApp is about to revolutionise the way users handle conversations with the introduction of threads. The feature is currently being tested in beta version 2.25.7.7 for Android and allows users to more efficiently track and organise discussions, especially within group chats.
The new feature, unveiled by the WABetaInfo blog, allows users to reply to specific messages within a conversation without having to trace back to the original message. In practice, threads will make it possible to reply directly to a specific message, keeping the conversation anchored and easily searchable, just as is the case in other platforms, such as X.
This feature, designed to improve the experience in complex and prolonged chats, will make it easier to navigate between messages, avoiding confusion and saving time. Threads will be visible in both group and individual chats, and may also extend to channels, making WhatsApp even more versatile.
With this new feature, the messaging app aims to make interactions more fluid, efficient and easily manageable, addressing one of the most expressed needs of group chat users, often characterised by an intense flow of messages. While waiting for the final version, WhatsApp is preparing another step towards more orderly and functional communication.
