Dayle Haddon: Actress and model found dead, possibly carbon monoxide poisoning
The Canadian actress, known for her career in film and fashion, passed away at the home of her son-in-law Marc Blucas. She was 76 years old
Dayle Haddon, an internationally renowned Canadian actress and model, died on Friday 27 December at the age of 76 from suspected carbon monoxide poisoning. The tragic incident occurred at the home of her son-in-law, actor Marc Blucas, known for the television series ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’, in Solebury, Pennsylvania.
Authorities found Haddon’s lifeless body in a bedroom on the second floor of the cottage. The high levels of carbon monoxide detected inside the house suggest a malfunction in the heating system. A 76-year-old man, who was on the scene, was rescued and transported to hospital with symptoms of intoxication.
Haddon, born in Montreal in 1948, had a brilliant career as a model and actress. Famous for working with brands such as Revlon and Max Factor, she has appeared on the covers of ‘Vogue’ and ‘Sports Illustrated’. Her film career began with the Disney film ‘Nanu, the Jungle Boy’ (1973), and continued with roles in several Italian and international productions.
In addition to her career in show business, Haddon was an ambassador for Unicef and founder of WomenOne, a non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting the education of young women.
