US Plans for Venezuela: Washington Prepares for Maduro’s Exit

US Plans for Venezuela reveal options from diplomatic to military interventions in case of political change

The US Plans for Venezuela are being actively prepared by the White House as the Trump administration continues its pressure campaign against President Nicolas Maduro. Sources reveal that the plans, coordinated by the National Security Council and key advisers including Stephen Miller and Marco Rubio, consider multiple scenarios for stabilising the country following a potential exit of Maduro.

According to officials, the US Plans for Venezuela include options ranging from a negotiated transition to more direct interventions, with the deployment of naval forces and targeted operations under discussion. While the White House publicly frames these measures as part of the fight against narcoterrorism, they also serve as a signal of the administration’s readiness to act if necessary.

The opposition in Venezuela, led by Maria Corina Machado and Edmundo González, has developed detailed “100-hour” and “100-day” plans for a post-Maduro scenario. These plans address security, energy, infrastructure, and governance, and elements have been shared with Washington. Observers note, however, that it is unclear how much of the opposition’s strategy has been fully integrated into the US Plans for Venezuela.

President Trump has repeatedly stated he does not rule out any course of action regarding Venezuela. Senior officials highlight that the administration remains divided over the risks and benefits of direct intervention, but all scenarios are being considered. The US Plans for Venezuela demonstrate a structured approach to every possible outcome, ensuring the federal government is ready for any eventuality.
