Netanyahu: ‘Green light for those who want to leave Gaza, countries should open their doors’

The Israeli prime minister calls for international cooperation as the army prepares for a broader offensive

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has stated that Israel will allow Palestinians to leave the Gaza Strip, calling on countries willing to take them in to ‘open their doors.’ The announcement comes as the Israeli armed forces prepare for a more intense military operation in the territory.

International appeal
According to Israeli media reports, including Haaretz, Netanyahu stressed that Gaza residents should be given the opportunity to leave ‘if they wish’, as has happened in the past in Syria, Ukraine and Afghanistan during conflicts.
