Trump proposes new nuclear deal to Iran: ‘It would be better for them’
The US president sent a letter to Khamenei to negotiate a deal as Iran increases its stockpile of enriched uranium in violation of the Jcpoa
Donald Trump announced that he had sent a letter to Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, proposing a new nuclear deal. The US president told Fox Business: ‘I hope they want to negotiate, because that would be much better for Iran. The alternative is that we have to do something, because we cannot allow them another nuclear weapon’.
Meanwhile, Iran has appointed a new ambassador to international organisations in Vienna, while the IAEA confirms violations of the JCPOA. The E3 (France, Germany, UK) denounces the increase in Iranian uranium stockpiles, which have risen by 50%, underlining a growing threat to international security.
