Marc Marquez finishes ahead of everyone on the first day of MotoGP testing in Buriram. Bagnaia only eighth, Morbidelli third

Ducati confirms itself as the bike to beat less than a month before the start of the 2025 MotoGP World Championship. On the first day of testing in Thailand, at the Buriram circuit that will host the opening race of the season, Marc Marquez set the fastest time of 1’29‘184, beating his brother Alex by 0’465.

Pecco Bagnaia finished eighth, paying a 0″844 gap to his team-mate, also due to the decision not to fit new tyres at the end. Franco Morbidelli did well, third on the VR46 at 0″499, followed by Marco Bezzecchi, making his debut on an Aprilia, and Pedro Acosta on a KTM. Of note was a crash without consequences for Brad Binder.
