Fires ravage Los Angeles, celebrities and residents affected

Among the victims the villas of stars such as Paris Hilton, Billy Crystal and James Woods

The apocalyptic scenes of the fires that are destroying Los Angeles and other parts of California have also affected numerous well-known Hollywood faces. Celebrities such as Paris Hilton, Billy Crystal and James Woods have seen their homes destroyed by flames that have killed five people and destroyed more than 1,000 buildings.

Watching our Malibu home burn down on live TV is something no one should ever have to experience,’ Paris Hilton wrote on Instagram, showing pictures of her mansion reduced to ashes. The star expressed her grief for all the families who lost their homes and loved ones.

Other famous residents of Pacific Palisades, a luxury area overlooking the Pacific Ocean, were also forced to evacuate. James Woods told CNN about losing his property, calling the situation ‘devastating’. Billy Crystal, who had lived in the area since 1979, said he was ‘heartbroken’ at the loss of his home, a place full of memories with his family.

In addition to them, Jennifer Aniston, Bradley Cooper, Tom Hanks and other stars also faced the emergency, while Miles Teller and his wife Keleigh Sperry are among the many who lost their homes. Mark Hamill recounted the evacuation of his Malibu home on Instagram, describing the fire as ‘the most horrific’ since 1993.

Meanwhile, due to the severity of the situation, voting for the Oscar nominations has been extended by two days, with the new deadline set for 14 January.
