Pamplona, injured by a bull during the San Fermin festival 2025

A 38-year-old man gored in the armpit. Six people injured in the second running of the 2025 festival

A 38-year-old man was injured by a bull during the second running of the bulls of the San Fermin festival in Pamplona, Spain. According to the official bulletin issued by the local health services, the injured man was gored by a bull in the armpit. Six other participants suffered bruises, but no further details on their medical conditions have been released at this time.

Today’s run, the second of eight scheduled for the 2025 edition, featured bulls from the Cebada Gago ranch in the province of Cadiz. Thousands of people, including locals and tourists, attended the event, one of the most iconic of the festival.

The “encierros” are the centrepiece of San Fermin: these are high-risk runs along an urban route in which participants run in front of bulls charging at full speed, trying to avoid them.
