The CEO of Tesla and SpaceX denies rumours about a possible interest in the ByteDance app

During a virtual meeting at the WELT Economic Summit, Elon Musk made it clear that he is not interested in buying TikTok, debunking any rumours about it. The tycoon stated: ‘I have not made an offer for TikTok and I have no plans on what I would do if I had TikTok,’ as reported by CNN.

The future of the Chinese app, owned by ByteDance, has recently been questioned in the US due to national security concerns. Despite a possible ban set for 20 January, former President Donald Trump postponed the decision, giving TikTok a 75-day period to find a non-Chinese buyer. However, ByteDance has reiterated that it has no intention of selling.

Meanwhile, other billionaires, including the well-known influencer MrBeast and Kevin O’Leary of ‘Shark Tank’, have expressed interest in buying TikTok.
