Minnesota authorities have arrested the alleged perpetrator of the double murder of Democratic state representative Melissa Hortman and her husband. After nearly 48 hours of searching, the suspect, Vance Boelter, 57, was located and apprehended in a rural area of the state.

According to US media outlets such as the New York Times and CBS News, Boelter was captured thanks to a joint operation involving local, state and federal law enforcement agencies. No further official details about the arrest are known at this time.
