Arson at Keir Starmer’s former residence: 21-year-old man arrested
Young man detained on charges of setting fire “to endanger lives” at former premier’s property. Investigation into two other related incidents
A 21-year-old man has been arrested on charges of arson “with intent to endanger lives” at the former residence of British Prime Minister Keir Starmer. This was announced today by the London Metropolitan Police.
The fire, which broke out overnight, caused significant damage to the entrance of the property. In addition to the main incident, the counterterrorism unit has opened an investigation into two other related events: the burning of a vehicle and a second fire that affected another residence.
Investigators are checking for possible links between the three incidents, while there are currently no reported injuries. Authorities have not yet clarified the motivation for the attack.
