Emmanuel Macron announces that the choice of the new head of government will take place upon his return from Poland

The appointment of the new French prime minister will take place tomorrow, an executive source confirmed to Afp. President Emmanuel Macron, who will travel to Poland, announced that the new head of government will be appointed ‘upon his return’, which is expected by the end of the day.

The confirmation comes after Macron had said yesterday on the sidelines of a meeting at the Elysée Palace with party leaders that he would proceed with the appointment ‘within 48 hours’.
