Hamas Refuses to Release Hostages Without Guarantees and Minister Smotrich Pushes Netanyahu
Hamas has confirmed that it will not release the hostages without a guarantee that Israel will respect the agreement. The situation remains critical, with the Palestinian group maintaining a firm stance on the need for concrete guarantees before proceeding with the release.
Smotrich’s Call for Decisive Action
Israel’s far-right Finance Minister, Bezalel Smotrich, made an explicit request to Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu to ‘open the gates of hell’ to Hamas if the group does not release all hostages by Saturday. In a statement, Smotrich urged Netanyahu to inform Hamas unequivocally that either all hostages are released by Saturday, without further steps or games, or Israel will react forcefully.
