American actress Kimberly Hébert Gregory has died at the age of 52: she starred in Vice Principals, Grey’s Anatomy, The Big Bang Theory and Better Call Saul
Farewell to Kimberly Hébert Gregory, American actress known for her roles in hit series such as Vice Principals, Grey’s Anatomy, The Big Bang Theory and Better Call Saul. The artist died at the age of 52, as confirmed by her ex-husband, actor Chester Gregory, in a message posted on Instagram. The cause of death has not been disclosed.
Born in Houston on 7 December 1972, Kimberly Hébert Gregory had built a solid career in film and television. The role that brought her to the attention of the general public was that of Principal Belinda Brown in the dark comedy Vice Principals (2016-2017) produced by HBO, where she starred alongside Danny McBride and Walton Goggins. The latter remembered her on social media, calling her ‘one of the best I’ve ever worked with’ and ‘a true professional’.
Throughout her career, Kimberly Hébert Gregory had taken part in numerous successful productions such as Kevin (Probably) Saves the World, Barry, The Chi, Devious Maids, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Medical Police, Genius and The Act. On the big screen, she starred in Five Feet Apart and lent her voice to animated series such as Craig of the Creek and Jessica’s Big Little World.
She made her television debut in 2007 with The Black Donnellys, while in the same year she appeared on the big screen in The Upside of Cheating alongside Chris Rock. Among the many messages of condolence was one from actress Busy Philipps, her colleague in Vice Principals, who wrote on social media: ‘She was a light and a force. We will miss her dearly.’
