Donald Trump publicly remembered Hulk Hogan, who died today at the age of 71, with a moving post on Truth Social. ‘Today we lost a great friend, “The Hulkster”. Hulk Hogan was “MAGA” through and through, tough, smart but also with a huge heart,’ wrote the US president, highlighting his political and humanitarian commitment.
Support for Trump at the 2024 convention
Trump also recalled Hogan’s speech at the Republican convention in Milwaukee in July 2024, when the former wrestler openly supported him. ‘Donald Trump is a true American hero, with him we will make America great again,’ Hogan said from the stage, before ripping off his shirt in an iconic gesture that thrilled the audience.
Condolences to the family
In his message, Trump offered his condolences to the wrestler’s wife Sky and family: ‘He had fans all over the world, and his cultural impact was extraordinary. Hulk Hogan, we will miss you dearly.’
