The US president announces the success of the attacks on Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan. He threatens further military action if Tehran does not stop the war with Israel

‘Iran’s three main nuclear sites have been completely destroyed.’ With these words, US President Donald Trump announced the outcome of the military operation launched against the Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan facilities during a speech to the nation from the White House. A direct message, accompanied by a threat: ‘Iran must make peace or there will be more attacks.’

At his side were Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Secretary of Defence Pete Hegseth, who will outline the technical details of the raid at a Pentagon conference scheduled for Sunday.

‘Mission accomplished, it was a spectacular success.’

‘Our goal was to destroy Iran’s ability to enrich uranium and stop the nuclear threat from a state that has been the leading sponsor of international terrorism for decades,’ Trump said. ‘I can announce that the attacks were a spectacular military success.’

Trump then issued a direct warning to Tehran: ‘Any retaliation against the United States will be met with a force far greater than what we saw tonight. There are still many targets, ready to be hit with precision and speed.’

‘Iran has been killing our men for decades, now enough is enough.’

The president retraced the long hostility with the Islamic Republic: “For forty years they have been shouting “death to America, death to Israel”. They killed our soldiers, blew up their legs with mines, it was their speciality. Thousands of lives lost, including at the hands of General Soleimani, whom we eliminated in 2020. All this had to end.”

The war with Israel must be stopped: ‘Either peace or tragedy for Iran’

Trump reiterated the need to end the ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel: “Either there will be peace, or there will be a tragedy for Iran far greater than what we have seen in the last eight days”. He added that the United States is ready for new operations “in a matter of minutes”, praising the efficiency of the American armed forces.

Thanks to the Israeli army and American pilots

Finally, Trump thanked the Israeli army ‘for the wonderful job they did’ and paid tribute to the US military: ‘No army in the world could have done what we did tonight. Congratulations to the great patriots who flew those magnificent machines and to the entire US military.’
