Mike Waltz again under indictment for using private emails
Trump adviser allegedly received work documents on Gmail, new criticism after chatgate
New allegations against Mike Waltz, national security adviser to the Trump administration. According to reports in the Washington Post, some council members, including Waltz, allegedly used Gmail accounts for government communications, raising concerns about the security of sensitive information.
Inside sources report that an official close to Waltz allegedly exchanged highly technical conversations with colleagues from other agencies using Google e-mail. Waltz himself allegedly received appointments and work documents on his personal account.
The accusation adds to the chatgate scandal, in which the adviser came under the spotlight for adding a journalist to a confidential chat with the Pentagon chief and other officials. The case fuels the debate on the handling of cybersecurity within the White House.
