Vaucluse criminal court passes sentence today against Pelicot for domestic violence and child abus
Today, the president of the Vaucluse Criminal Court found Dominique Pelicot guilty of numerous sexual crimes. He was convicted of aggravated rape against his wife, Gisèle, and attempted rape, as well as another aggravated rape against the wife of a co-defendant. Pelicot was also found guilty of filming sexual images involving his daughter Caroline and his former daughters-in-law.
The sentence marks the end of a trial that revealed atrocities within a family context, with a severe verdict against the defendant.
