Rob Reiner and Michele Singer medical records blocked in LA

Court blocks release of Rob Reiner and Michele Singer medical records

A court order requested by the Los Angeles Police Department has blocked the release of all Rob Reiner and Michele Singer medical records related to the deaths of the director and his wife. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed the order on Wednesday, January 1, 2026.

The office received the court order at 10:30 AM on Christmas Eve, instructing a “security block” on all Rob Reiner and Michele Singer medical records while the homicide investigation continues. “Although the cause and circumstances of death had been previously disclosed, following this court order, such information is no longer publicly available,” the statement read.

Earlier reports indicated that Rob and Michele Reiner died from stab wounds, with their deaths classified as a double homicide. The couple’s bodies were found on December 14, 2025, at their Los Angeles home. Their 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, was charged with two counts of first-degree murder. At his initial court appearance, he did not enter a plea. His arraignment hearing has been postponed to January 7, 2026, at the request of his attorney, Alan Jackson.

Authorities continue to investigate, and the release of Rob Reiner and Michele Singer medical records remains blocked until further notice, ensuring compliance with the court’s order and the ongoing homicide investigation.
