Maxwell: “I don’t believe he committed suicide, Trump always a gentleman”

Revelations from a Texas prison – The US Department of Justice has released the transcript and audio of the interrogation of Ghislaine Maxwell, former accomplice of Jeffrey Epstein, who died in prison in 2019. ‘With the exception of the names of the victims, every word is included. Nothing has been removed,’ said Deputy Attorney Todd Blanche, who conducted the interview in late July. Maxwell, now imprisoned in Texas and sentenced to 20 years, denied the hypothesis of Epstein’s suicide: ‘In prison, they either kill you or pay to have you killed: all it takes is $25 in canteen expenses.’

Trump and his relationship with Epstein – In the transcripts, Maxwell ruled out any misconduct on the part of Donald Trump: “I never saw him in any inappropriate context. He always behaved like a gentleman in every respect.” However, she admitted that she does not remember with certainty whether the masseuses at the Mar-a-Lago resort spa, frequented by Epstein, gave him private massages, adding that she never recruited staff for him.

Transparency operation and politics – The publication of the material is part of what the Trump administration has called a “transparency operation”, strongly requested by Congress and the MAGA community. The Department of Justice has also forwarded the Epstein case documents to the House Oversight Committee.
