New missiles launched towards Israel in the last few minutes. There are fears of an escalation after days of cross-raids between Tehran and Jerusalem

A new missile attack has been launched by Iran against Israel. The alarm was raised a few minutes ago when sirens began to sound in various areas of the country, signalling the arrival of missiles from Iranian territory.

This is the latest offensive in a climate of growing tension that has directly involved the two states for days. The Israeli army has confirmed that new launches have been detected and that the air defence system has been activated to intercept the missiles in flight.

The authorities have urged the population to take shelter in protected areas. Meanwhile, the IDF has announced that “any hostile act will receive a proportionate response”.

In the last 48 hours, Israel had intensified its raids on strategic Iranian targets, particularly near Tehran, striking missile installations and military bases. Iran, for its part, had promised a response.

The international community is watching the conflict unfold with growing concern. The next few hours will be decisive in determining whether the confrontation will further escalate into open warfare on multiple fronts.
