A few hours into the fifth day of war, Tehran responds to the Israeli raid with a missile attack. Alert and evacuations for Tel Aviv residents and Israeli TV stations

As the fifth day of war approaches, Iran has launched a new wave of missiles against Israel, described as “occupied territories” by Tehran TV.

The missile attack follows a raid by the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) in Tehran, where an Iranian state television building was hit after an “urgent warning” was issued to residents of the city’s District 3. Live footage showed an explosion in the studio and the journalist fleeing on air, with broadcasting resuming shortly afterwards.

In response, a senior Iranian official announced to the Fars news agency that Tehran is ready to launch “the most important and violent missile attack in history against Israeli territory”.

The Iranian Revolutionary Guards also issued an urgent evacuation warning in Hebrew to residents of Tel Aviv, while Iranian state television issued evacuation orders for Israeli channels N12 and N14 in response to the Israeli raid on the Iranian public broadcaster.
