Marine Le Pen warns Macron: ‘I do not rule out voting for censure motion again’
The Rassemblement National leader harshly criticises the French president, who announces a new premier
Marine Le Pen, leader of the Rassemblement National group in the French National Assembly, said in an interview with Le Figaro that she did not rule out the possibility of voting on another censure motion against the government. Her words follow Emmanuel Macron’s speech, which announced a new premier after the recent motion against Michel Barnier. Le Pen called the president’s speech ‘dangerous’, accusing him of being isolated and threatening French institutions.
Meanwhile, Macron set two conditions for the formation of the new government: avoid a socialist premier if the Socialist Party remains allied with La France Insoumise and do not dismantle the controversial pension reform. Olivier Faure, Socialist leader, reiterated that he will not support a government with a right-wing premier.
