Si prevede la disattivazione delle ultime tre centrali nucleari in funzione in Germania oggi. Dopo oltre sessant’anni, si conclude l’uso dell’energia nucleare a scopo civile nel Paese, dove nel novembre del 1960 è stata inaugurata la prima centrale nucleare commerciale a Kahl, in Baviera. Due delle centrali avrebbero dovuto essere chiuse alla fine dello scorso anno, ma a causa della crisi energetica derivante dalle misure adottate per limitare le esportazioni di gas e petrolio dalla Russia, il governo aveva deciso di prolungarne l’operatività per tutta l’inverno. A partire da oggi, l’attività dei reattori verrà gradualmente ridotta fino a quando potranno essere disconnessi dalla rete e, di conseguenza, completamente chiusi. Cdu e il Partito Liberale Democratico si oppongono alla chiusura.
