McLaren driver takes first place in Monaco Grand Prix: Piastri also on podium, fourth Verstappen

Lando Norris takes a historic victory in the Monaco Grand Prix, leading McLaren to the top step of the podium in one of the most prestigious races on the Formula 1 calendar. The Briton preceded the Ferrari of Charles Leclerc, author of a solid performance on his home circuit, and team-mate Oscar Piastri, who finished in third place.

Max Verstappen, who started among the favourites and led for much of the race, had to settle for fourth position, followed by Lewis Hamilton, fifth at the finish. The race, characterised by close strategies and little margin for error, saw Norris manage his accumulated advantage with lucidity, resisting Leclerc’s final attacks.

For McLaren it was a significant success, confirming the team’s growth. Norris, on his sixth career victory, thus consolidates his position among the protagonists of the World Championship.
