F1, Lewis Hamilton makes his Ferrari debut: the first day at the wheel of the red car

The seven-time world champion inaugurates his new adventure at the Fiorano circuit, while the fans’ enthusiasm grows on social media

Today, Wednesday 22 January, the Lewis Hamilton era at Ferrari officially began. At the Fiorano circuit, the seven-time world champion took the wheel of a Formula 1 red car for the first time, marking his debut with the historic Maranello team. It was a moment that ignited the enthusiasm of the fans, with social media flooded with comments and positive reactions.

Hamilton celebrated this new beginning by sharing a picture on his social profiles with the Ferrari suit, accompanied by the simple but significant caption: ‘First time in red’. The Briton also unveiled the helmet that will accompany him this season: a yellow livery with the number 44, symbol of his identity on the track.

After a long career with Mercedes, where he won six of his seven world titles, Hamilton has decided to embrace a new challenge with Ferrari. His arrival is not limited to work on the track: in recent days he has met with the team management, introduced himself to the employees and visited the factory facilities, immersing himself in the world of Ferrari.

An element of continuity in the new adventure will be the collaboration with Angela Cullen, his former physiotherapist. The two had worked together until 2023 and now reunite through Project 44, the company Hamilton founded to manage both his sporting career at Ferrari and other commercial projects. Cullen will be a point of reference for the British driver, providing him with the support he needs at this crucial stage of his career.

The debut on the track represents just the first step for the British champion, who aims to write a new chapter of success in Formula 1 history with the Prancing Horse. The fans, meanwhile, are dreaming big, fuelling an atmosphere of hope and passion that only Ferrari knows how to evoke.
