After the Russian attack in Dnipro that left three dead, the Ukrainian president returns to call for international support. Meanwhile, Western allies gather in Paris for new talks

Volodymyr Zelensky returns to calling for international pressure on Russia, denouncing the latest attacks that have hit several areas of Ukraine. ‘Russia uses every day and every night to kill,’ he writes on Telegram, referring to the Russian drone raid against Dnipro, which left three people dead, including a 17-year-old girl, and 28 injured, including four minors.

Odessa, Sumy, Kharkiv and Donetsk hit by drones and missiles

According to Zelensky himself, Odessa was also targeted by drones, with three people injured and damage to residential buildings, a pharmacy and a church. Aerial bombardments were reported in Sumy, while the Kharkiv and Donetsk regions were hit by ballistic missiles.

Zelensky: “Every defence package saves lives”

In his message, the Ukrainian president thanked the allied countries for their military and logistical assistance, emphasising that “every defence package, every form of support from the world for our resilience literally means protecting lives”. And he reiterated that “wars are stopped by force, force against the aggressor”.

Peskov: “Europe wants the continuation of the war”

The Kremlin, through its spokesman Dmitri Peskov, responded by accusing Europe of wanting the “prolongation of the conflict”, while acknowledging that the ongoing talks in Paris will touch on “several aspects of a solution to the crisis in Ukraine”. The meeting is being attended by US envoys Marc Rubio and Steve Witkoff, the head of the Ukrainian presidential administration Andrii Yermak, and Kiev’s foreign and defence ministers.

Medvedev attacks Europe: ‘How many coffins will you accept?’

On the propaganda level, Dmitry Medvedev also intervened. In a post published on X, the deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council attacked European countries in provocative tones: “Apparently the summit of the fascist clique of Ukraine is in Paris to discuss with the UK, Germany and France how many European coffins they will be willing to accept”.
