Chuck Norris is dead. The martial arts champion and action movie star, also known for the series “Walker, Texas Ranger”, died at the age of 86 on the morning of Friday, March 20, after being hospitalized in Hawaii the day before.
The announcement was made by his family in a statement released shortly after his passing. “While we wish to keep the circumstances private, we want it known that he was surrounded by his family and was at peace,” the statement read.
Over the course of his career, Norris became a defining figure in action cinema, starring in films such as “Missing in Action”, “Delta Force”, “Lone Wolf McQuade” and “Code of Silence”, which brought him worldwide recognition.

Despite his health issues, he returned to acting in recent years, appearing in the 2024 action film “Agent Recon” directed by Derek Ting and in the comedy “Zombie Plane” by Lav Bodnaruk and Michael Mier, playing himself.
In their tribute, his family highlighted his personal life: “To the world he was a martial artist, an actor and a symbol of strength. To us he was a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, a wonderful brother and the heart of our family.”
They also emphasized his connection with fans: “Through his work, discipline and kindness, he inspired millions of people around the world. The love and support he received from fans meant everything to him.”
The family concluded by asking for privacy during this time of mourning.
