The Iraqi premier announces the death of the leader of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, considered one of the most dangerous terrorists. The operation was conducted with the support of the international coalition
Abdullah Maki Musleh al-Rifai, known as Abu Khadija, leader of the self-styled Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS), was killed in an operation by Iraqi forces. This was announced by the Iraqi premier, Mohammed S. Al-Sudani, calling his death an ‘extraordinary victory’ in the fight against terrorism.
Abu Khadija was considered one of the most dangerous terrorists in the world, and was described as a ‘deputy caliph’ of the Islamic State and in charge of ‘external operations’. His elimination was the result of an intelligence operation conducted in cooperation with the Joint Operations Command and international coalition forces.
The Iraqi premier celebrated this victory as a crucial step for Iraq’s security and the fight against the forces of terrorism. ‘We congratulate Iraq and the Iraqi people, and all peace-loving countries,’ he said, stressing the importance of this achievement in strengthening national and regional security.
