Bomb scare cleared at Arc de Triomphe: reopened after precautionary closure

The Arc de Triomphe in Paris temporarily closed due to a bomb scare that turned out to be unfounded. The authorities confirm the reopening after verifications

This morning, the Arc de Triomphe in Paris was temporarily closed to the public after a threat received via an anonymous phone call indicating the presence of a bomb. The French authorities, following security protocols, decided to evacuate the area and conduct thorough checks to avoid any risk to visitors and citizens.

False bomb scare

According to Bfmtv, the control operations ended around midday and confirmed that it was a false alarm. No explosive devices or other dangers were found, allowing the reopening of the monument.

Re-opening of the monument

After the green light from the competent authorities, the Arc de Triomphe was reopened to the public and tourist activities resumed as normal. The false alarm did not cause any particular inconvenience, but nevertheless triggered security measures to ensure the safety of those present.
