Germany, sex in a car at 140 km/h: police stop a couple on the A1 motorway

They were having sex in a car on the A1 motorway while travelling at 140 km/h. It happened in Germany, in North Rhine-Westphalia, where Münster police stopped a couple engaged in intercourse while driving.

According to reports by broadcaster N-tv, officers intervened on Monday after numerous reports of a car zigzagging dangerously between lanes, risking collision with the guard rails and other vehicles.

The scene reported by a lorry driver

A lorry driver, forced to move into the emergency lane to avoid a collision, noticed the unusual scene: the driver, a 37-year-old man, was having sex with the woman sitting next to him, a 33-year-old.

The police chase ended after a few kilometres when officers managed to safely stop the car.

Charges for dangerous driving

The man, who was driving while having sex, will now face charges of dangerous driving and disrupting traffic. The police pointed out that the act could have caused a serious accident on the A1 motorway, which was very busy at the time.

This episode, which borders on the absurd, reopens the debate on safety and reckless driving, even in situations where distraction arises from completely different reasons.
