Famous actress Diane Keaton died on Saturday 11 October in Los Angeles at the age of 79 due to pneumonia, as confirmed by her family in a statement to People magazine. The family thanked fans for their affection and recalled Keaton’s commitment to volunteering and animal welfare, suggesting donations in her memory to animal shelters or local food banks.
According to the TMZ website, paramedics from the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to an emergency call at the actress’s home at around 8:08 a.m. Diane Keaton was taken to hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. Audio recordings of radio communications highlight the seriousness of the situation when the emergency services arrived.
The official content of the death certificate remains to be clarified, which could indicate any underlying causes or contributing factors to pneumonia, such as pre-existing conditions or age-related complications.
