Trump Confuses Albania with Armenia in New Foreign Policy Gaffe
Trump Confuses. During a London press conference with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, the US President again mixed up Albania and Armenia while boasting of diplomatic successes
The gaffes of US President Donald Trump continue. “I ended the war between Azerbaijan and Albania,” he declared, claiming credit for stopping a conflict that never existed. Speaking at a joint press conference in London with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Trump proudly listed his achievements as an international mediator, insisting that “for years Albania and Azerbaijan were at war until the White House stepped in.” He even mispronounced the name of Azerbaijan while making the claim.
In reality, Trump meant to refer to Armenia, not Albania. The slip has become a recurring theme: this is the third time in a few weeks that the US President has made the same geographical error. Before this latest blunder, Trump had repeated the confusion in a recent interview with Fox and Friends.
Observers note that the actual conflict involved Armenia and Azerbaijan over the Nagorno-Karabakh region, not Albania. Despite multiple corrections from journalists and aides, Trump continues to repeat the mistake, drawing international attention and criticism.
