The attack was announced in advance: residents and ships were asked to leave the area immediately

Houthi TV Almasirah reported Israeli raids on the port of Hodeida in Yemen. The attack had been anticipated by the Israeli army, which had urged people and ships anchored in the port to “evacuate immediately”.

The IDF’s Arabic-speaking spokesperson said the operation was directed against the “military activity of the Houthi terrorist regime”. In a message posted on social media for residents, the spokesperson warned: “For your safety, we urge everyone in the port of Hodeida and ships anchored there to evacuate immediately. Anyone remaining in the area is risking their life”.
