Iran reports that it has shot down two fighter jets and a drone in the skies above Tehran and Qom. Tel Aviv denies this: “Propaganda, none of our aircraft have been shot down”

Iran claims to have shot down two Israeli military aircraft in its airspace and captured the female pilot of one of the jets. According to local sources, the incident took place in central and southern Tehran during yet another day of aerial clashes between the two countries.

At the same time, in Qom, the crisis management department confirmed that an Israeli drone had been intercepted by the city’s defence systems. The target of the remote-controlled aircraft was the Fordow nuclear site, south of Qom, but according to the Iranian military, no damage to the facility was reported, despite two attempted attacks during the day.

Israel has categorically denied the allegations. The Tel Aviv army spokesman described the statements coming from Tehran as “baseless”: “The Iranian media are falsifying information. None of our aircraft have been shot down,” he said.

Tensions between the two countries remain high, with the Israeli offensive on Iran continuing for hours and the Iranian counter-offensive already underway in several Israeli cities, mainly Tel Aviv.
