Protests in Israel against government: ‘Agreement with Hamas must proceed’

Demonstrations in several Israeli cities today call for completion of agreement with Hamas

Today, several groups of demonstrators gathered in several Israeli cities, such as Ness Ziona, Haifa, Hadera, and in Tel Aviv’s Habima Square, to demand the continuation and completion of the agreement with Hamas. The demonstrations were heavily attended by citizens who support the continuation of negotiations.

Hofshi B’Artzenu: “We will not stop the agreement.”

The pro-democracy movement Hofshi B’Artzenu, through a message on Twitter, declared, “We will not stop the agreement.” Sharing photos of the demonstrations, the group pointed out that citizens gathered across the country, “at intersections, on bridges and in the streets,” to support the advancement of the agreement with Hamas.
