The ban on access to the Israel-Egypt border areas will last until 26 January, with similar restrictions elsewhere in the south
In preparation for the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli army (IDF) has declared the Nitzana crossing area on the Israel-Egypt border a closed military zone. The order, signed by Major General Yaron Finkelman, will remain in effect until 26 January, as reported by the Times of Israel.
The areas of Yad Mordechai and Kerem Shalom have also been declared closed military zones, with restrictions that will last until at least 24 January. Only residents or those with special permits will be allowed access to these areas.
